Grossart Water Solutions 2018

Well we are officially past the halfway point of 2018 and it has been a big one! We have taken on our biggest projects to date and grown along the way also. Our first project for the year was a trade waste cooling plant to allow our client to meet the council regulations for trade waste temperature discharge. The system was designed to not only deal with temperature but also reduce rubbish waste that gets washed down through the system, ultimately doing their part to reduce the total impact on council network.

We then set our sites on our first major build partnering up with Veolia Water New Zealand to upgrade the Raetihi water treatment plant for the Ruapehu District Council. Our scope was to deal with the mechanical installation aspect of the job and ensure that the project was delivered at a high standard.

We faced many challenges on site from the weather (sunshine, wind, rain, hail and snow!) through to the logistics of location and site access, but our perseverance and dedication allowed us to complete the build while creating a great relationship with the clients. The plant is currently being commissioned and should be ready next month some time and we look forward to attending the official opening!

Above: Flocculation tank connected to Lamella Settler. Cranes were used to get these into place and required careful planning as site access was difficult.

Below: Major pipeworks complete inside plant room. Ready to fit instruments, air relief valves and pressure gauges.
