Winter is over...Bring on the heat!

We have finally made it through winter! It has been pretty wet and miserable to say the least but we can look forward to a great summer season.

We have been really busy over the last few months with a good variety of work. From general servicing and planned maintenance right through to new installations. 

New AOP system installed at Trent Bray swim school Mt Eden.

We have also teamed up with Amy from Amotto consultancy and Adrian from Dolphin Pacific to install the first AOP UV/ozone unit in New Zealand. Installed at the Trent Bray swim school, the bather loads have been on a constant increase over the last few years. The current filtration system had started to struggle with the increase loads which resulted in higher CAC (combined available chlorine) tests. This installation was tricky due to the confined area and room we had to work with. A little imagination and a few coffees to plan and we had the unit tucked in nicely. From a CAC of 1.5ppm at installation, in less than 12 hrs the results were down to 0.9. After 2 days results were down to 0.1 - 0.2ppm. These results were great and we were surprised at just how effective the system was. 

With lower CAC levels, the water is better for the customers, better for the instructors as well as better for the accounts. Using less chemicals, less water and less on the power bill, this is a great investment to any system from commercial to large scale aquatic facilities.

In other news, we are currently involved with replacing a chemical storage tank that has failed along with associated pipework and suction manifold for the chemical dose pumps. Another project we are working on is a plant room fit out for Summerset retirement village. This is more of a light commercial job however, we treat it like any other job and build to the highest standard. Here is a progress shot:

New year! New look!

Well this was supposed to go out in January... and here we are in April already! Grossart water solutions has had a bit of a new look for 2017. With our goals and vision now as clear as water  (well, the water that is filtered by us! :P) we aim to have a massive year and a lot of fun along the way!

Our goals this year:

Get our brand awareness out there - its a big world out there and we will need to work hard to establish ourselves as not just a recognised company but also a trusted and preferred brand. 

Council contracts - These are up for tender this year. Even though we are a new company, I see it as a great goal to be able to get some of the work in these contracts. With over 10 years working on the majority of these sites, we have a good history and understanding of operation as well as some of the quirks that each site tends to have.

Grow baby grow! We would love to be in a position to grow by the end of this year. The work load is picking up and hope to be looking at a new member to the team at the end of this year. Some key factors we look for are:

Honesty - Honestly can't stress this point enough

Integrity - Stand up for what you believe in, doing whats best and going the extra mile

Passion - we believe to be the best, surround yourself with like minded people that help inspire and push your ability to the next level!
